At Lety’s Preschool and Daycare, we believe that each child learns, grows, and develops at a unique pace.  We respect this individualism and allow the children to develop and learn at a pace that is comfortable for him or her.

Through our teacher’s careful modeling of respectful behavior, the children quickly embrace manners, respectful behavior, and effective communication. This behavior helps maintain a learning environment that fosters increased self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-determination amongst the children.

Lety’s Preschool and Daycare offers a full foreign language immersion program that is unique to the Truckee North Lake Tahoe region.  We value the benefit of exposing children to cultural and ethnic diversity and believe such exposure helps a child become aware of the greatness in each of us.

While our teaching is not guided by any particular religion, we hope to encourage acceptance of others and spiritual development in the children through incidental learning that occurs around different religious holidays and celebrations.

Lupita Diaz, Teacher

Driven by my love of children, I pursued a career in teaching and graduated from La Normal de Aguascalientes, Mexico with a degree in Education with a concentration in child development. I completed my teaching residency in a preschool setting and since then, have gained 3 years experience in a elementary school and another 3 years in a preschool environment. Moreover, I attend annual child care workshops that enhance my ability to provide quality child care. Supporting children to achieve their highest potential has been very rewarding. I believe that children learn best in a nurturing atmosphere where they feel free to be creative and express themselves. Lety’s preschool is just that place and I’m thrilled to be part of that family. I look forward to meeting you and your children.

Angelica Abundiz , Teachers Aid

As the mother of two children and daycare assistant at Lety’s Preschool, I have had a rich experience in child development. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than observing my children, and yours, knowing I have been a key factor in their advancement. I have also attended childcare seminars, which I have enjoyed and  put to use at Lety’s Preschool. I am eager for this school year and excited to help your little ones reach their full potential.
